Dell Launches Signature Event, 40% Off Premium Laptops

Dell Signature EventDell has launched a 7-day “Signature Event” in which they actually do have some great laptop deals, it’s not just a marketing serenade.  Below are some highlighted offers that are part of this Signature Event that lasts 9/15 – 9/21:

I recently reviewed the Dell Inspiron 14z and found it to be a fairly solid laptop for the price you pay, it’s not perfect, but for $599 you get a second generation Intel Core i3 processor, 6GB memory and 640GB HD.   The Dell Inspiron 15z is a pretty unique 15” laptop in that it’s actually thin, under 1-inch, but still matches or even exceeds the power of similar 15” laptops.  It’s a premium laptop so you do pay more for it but the styling is amazing.  Note that this Signature Event sale really is focused on Premium laptops and they’re not cutting prices on the lower end Inspiron line.  If you were waiting to get a powerful laptop with some gaming capabilities these are some really good deals, if you were just waiting to find the cheapest laptop money can buy, well this sale isn’t exactly for you.

I'm a big believer in the importance of technology usage in education, but not just having blind faith in technology gadgets and using them in a school setting for the sake of it. I review and write about technology devices such as laptops and tablets that have a clear purpose and provide a learning advantage for students.
