Apple MacBook Air 11.6” Model for $850 via eBay Today

If you’ve been waiting for a good deal on the latest 11.6” MacBook Air model today is your lucky day as MacMall is selling this laptop for $849.99 via their eBay store.  That price is $150 cheaper than the $999 price you get via Apple.com so the total savings is 15% off of list price.  Even if you use the Apple student discount the price is $949 so you’re still saving $100 on the Apple student pricing.  Basically this is the best deal I’ve ever seen on the base level MacBook Air 11.6”.  The specs on this model are the following:

Apple MacBook Air 11.6"

  • Processor: 1.4 GHz Core 2 Duo Processor
  • Screen: 11.6" LED Display
  • Storage: 64 GB Solid State Drive
  • Memory: 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 320M Integrated Graphics
  • Wireless: WiFi 802.11n , Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
  • Web-cam: Built-in FaceTime Camera
  • OS: Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard
  • Weight: 2.3 lbs

I review the Apple MacBook Air 11.6” model back in December soon after it was released and found it to be a fantastic option for students, the only downside of it being the high price.  However, for $850 the deal becomes a lot better!

This sale is on a brand new unopened MacBook Air, no worrying about it being a refurbished model with nicks and scratches in it.  MacMall is a very reputable dealer and they use their eBay store to sell items at a steep discount when they build up too much inventory.  It could be that the popularity of the Apple iPad 2 is causing some buyers to get that instead of the MacBook Air thus creating extra inventory.  Whatever the case, take advantage while you can before this deal expires!
