Right now you can get a $50 Nordstrom Rack gift card for only $25 if you purchase the Groupon before midnight Wednesday (11/24/2010). For those not familiar, Groupon offers ways for buyers to group together and get a discount from local and nationwide retailers. Usually you have to meet a certain number of buyers to agree to purchase a deal before the deal is “on”, but this deal for Nordstrom Rack is so good it tipped to being on several days ago. Nordstrom Rack is basically an offshoot of the well known Nordstrom big box retailer but offers better prices on high-end tailor clothing. Think along the lines of $575 designer shoes on sale for $299 or a $135 dress shirt on sale for $49.97 and you get the idea.
Since Nordstrom Rack is such a new store there aren’t many locations around the country, you can use the store locator here. However there is an online store for Nordstrom Rack as well, and although the Groupon deal does not state it can be used online, it actually can. To use the $50 Groupon online you just enter the first 16 promotional code digits from your groupon (which you’ll receive via email after you purchase it for $50) as if it were a gift card and then the last three digits in your groupon are the access code.
The “Pay with a Gift Card” option appears on the payment and order review tab. There are some restrictions on this groupon, it has to be used at Nordstrom Rack by December 31 and you do have to spend at least $50 to be able to use it.
