Dell Inspiron 13R Laptop now on Dell.com

Dell last month released the Inspiron 17R, 15R and 14R and now a smaller sized Inspiron 13R has shown up on Dell.com.  The Inspiron 13R has a 13.3” screen and comes with the following spec configuration options:

  • Processor: Intel Core i3, Core i5
  • Display: 13.3” widescreen HD (720p) glossy finish
  • Memory: up to 8GB RAM
  • Storage: up to 500GB HD
  • OS: Windows 7
  • Graphics: Intel HD Graphics or ATI HD5470
  • Battery: 6-cell Li-Ion
  • Optical drive: None built-in, optional external DVD burner
  • Web-camera: 1.3MP with microphone
  • Wireless options: Dell Wireless 1501 802.11 g/n, Dell Wireless 1520 802.11a/g/n or, Intel  Centrino  Advanced-N 6200 802.11 a/g/n, Intel  Centrino  Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 802.11 a/g/n
  • Bluetooth: Dell Wireless 365 Bluetooth
  • Ports and Slots:

Dell quotes the battery life of the Inspiron 13R as being 5 hours and 41 minutes with the standard 6-cell battery.  With a weight of around 4lbs, 13” screen and 5+ hours of battery life the Inspiron 13R would work well as a laptop to carry around campus.  Furthermore the price should start at around $449 for the 13R so it will fit the slimmer budget that most college students have.
