Dell Inspiron 14R

The Dell Inspiron 14R is a 14-inch screen portable laptop suited perfectly for students on the go and in need of an affordable laptop.  The Inspiron 14R features the latest Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors, so even though the Inspiron 14R is a budget laptop it gives you top performance.  The Inspiron 14R is slim and lightweight, with a 6-cell battery the weight comes in at just under 5lbs so this laptop is light enough to be carried in a messenger bag.

Dell Inspiron 14R Battery Life

The Inspiron 14R battery life will depend upon your configuration, but in general you can expect battery life of around 5 hours under normal usage.  Dell quotes a battery life of up to 5 hours and 15-minutes when using a 6-cell battery that comes standard with an Inspiron 14R.

Dell Inspiron 14R Design

The overall design of the Inspiron 14R is more curvy than previous Inspiron 14 models and features a “forward-hinge” design similar to the Dell Adamo.  The lids are available in four glossy colors including Mars Black, Tomato Red, Peacock Blue and Lotus Pink.  Dell is claiming the Inspiron 14R series is not only attractive but also built to last.  The palm rests feature a smudge resistant design and the frame of the laptop has been made stiffer to provide a more solid and quality feel.
