Bank of America $100 Offer for Opening $500 Account

Lots of banks offer incentives for opening a checking account, but a recent Bank of America promotion that rewards you with $100 if you open an account, deposit $500 and then leave the account open for at least 30-days is one of the most lucrative and easiest offers in some time. As a student, an extra $100 can go a very long way, so it’s certainly worth looking into the details of the offer.

This Bank of America $100 sign up offer has the following requirements and restrictions:

1) This is for new customers only (if you closed an account within the past three months, you do not qualify either)
2) Minimum opening balance of $500
3) Account must be open at least 30-days
4) Must use your issued check card for at least one transaction
5) When opening the account online there are no fees for opening, if opening account at a branch you must refer to offer code AOU260909
6) Offer is good until November 30, 2009

If this all sounds good, here is a link to the offer for signing up online:

Bank of America states that they will deposit the $100 reward into your account within 90-days of it being opened and your qualification being verified. If the money cannot be deposited into your account (if you close it for example) then a check will be mailed. This is a pretty easy way to make $100 if you have $500 that can be moved. If you think about it, that’s like getting a 20% return on your investment in a month, or rather 240% APY! Too bad it only works once.
