Office Vista Ultimate Available to Students for $59.95 with “Ultimate Steal” Offer

Microsoft is once again kicking off its “The Ultimate Steal” offer in which students can purchase Microsoft Office Ultimate for the bargain price of $59.95, or 91% off the suggested retail price.  A check of Amazon.com for the current price on Office Ultimate 2007 shows that it costs $519.99.

Last school year when Microsoft ran this offer the only software deal was for Office Ultimate, but this year they’re adding three more options:

  • Windows Vista Ultimate UPGRADE (32 & 64 bit): $64.95 (Usually about $200, Available after Sept. 8 )
  • Office Visio Professional 2007: $55.95 (Usually about $289.99, Available after Sept. 8 )
  • Office Language Packs 2007 (digital only): $9.95 (Available after Sept. 8 )

None of those are quite as useful as Office 2007, but great deals nonetheless.   It’s worth noting that these software offers are not for the watered down Student editions, they are the bonafide full versions.  You can keep them past your student-days of course, the license is perpetual.

You’re supposed to be enrolled at least half time in school to get this offer, but all it really takes is using a @.edu email address to place the order online, Microsoft won’t check whether you’re really enrolled.  If you opt to download Office Ultimate the total price comes to $59.95, or if you want the DVD copy it costs an extra $12.95 to ship that.
